How did you celebrate Geek Pride Day?

May 25 was a school day, even a weekday. It would be likely that you didn't celebrate Geek Pride Day by yourself. Don't deny it, as you find it hard to read this sentence. (You kept your horn-rimmed glasses somewhere.) No need to worry, as we could play a guessing game.

How did you celebrate Geek Pride Day? Let's count the ways:

You watched "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". You were one of those people who missed its theatrical release. You were unable to get over it, as you were embarrassed (and green with envy) when your mates talked about the possible premises for "Star Wars: Episode VIII". You bought a DVD copy at Record Mart, which could have been a relief. One of your friends happened to be around. His reaction was priceless. (You'd rather not described it.) He promised not to tell your other friends, but there was a catch. You had to help him with his next assignment. You don't want to be teased for being the last to know.

You went for a grocery shopping. You mother didn't understand why you had to dress up as Captain America. Your flab wasn't flattering. (You promised to be more active next season.) Besides, you felt the cold air the other day. But yesterday turned out to be a different one. Could it be summer?

You played music all day. It wasn't a coincidence that all tunes were composed by Hans Zimmer.

You played with your friends. They didn't expect you to have a complete collection of Marvel toys. Almost, you pointed out. (You haven't bought the latest Lego collector editions.) You warned your friends not to touch your toys, but you ended up playing with them. It wasn't meant to decorate your room. It was also the only time when you played it, and you couldn't think of other people (who would hold it). It was a blast.

You're always ready for entertainment. One of your friends went to the restroom. He was unprepared by what he saw. It wasn't a snake, not your sibling (taking a bath). It was rather a computer and small-screen television. You wanted to explain yourself, but you were at a loss for words.

You also had a party with your friends. An ugly sweater party, but you don't want to be particular about it. One of your friends saw "Bridget Jones's Diary", and he wasn't appalled at the ugly sweater that Colin Firth wore in one scene. He suggested that you try it, but you were embarrassed to wear it on Christmas. (You don't want to be humiliated.) May 25 would be the right time, and you didn't forget the tea. Not bad for Englishmen.

You checked your comic book collection. It took you hours, but it was worth it. All were in good condition, and you even harbored thoughts of selling it (at a higher price) one day. But you were too attached to it.

You looked at your DVD collection. Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, DC Comics (adapted for the big screen). There won't be anything else.

You posted your travel photos on Facebook and Instagram. You didn't have a holiday last winter, not even last summer. And you don't have any holiday plans next season. Your friends figured out the images right away. You were thrilled.

You danced like Star-Lord. You were a huge fan of "Guardians of the Galaxy", and you couldn't wait for the sequel. You danced like no one was watching, but your mother made an unexpected entry.

You did one of the above, even some. And you would do it again. Next year.
