What I Want for Spring

SpringSeason

Studying is the last thing you want to worry during spring time. After all, it's that time of the year when Mother Nature beckons, the sun up and the flowers blooming. Even when it's raining. Students are like everyone else, except for their coursework, which they have an obligation. It happens that this is the season when there are many deadlines to think of, even tests to prepare, as the term is about to come to an end. So not worrying is easy to say, but it can be done.

One school year seems like an eternity, so spring break is something to look forward to. So here are the things you can do:

1. Give your wallet a break. Money is an issue during most days, making you wish that you have your B.A. and working. This is your chance by looking for a freelance gig or an odd job. If you don't have the energy, opting to spend more time in the couch, then try to spend less. Both options have its pros and cons, so give this some serious thought.

2. Something mundane. Victorian literature. Literary genres. The history of the English language. Unless you're passionate on any of those, don't you think it can be tiresome to keep in mind of them? Thinking of something else can help, as the final few months of the term can be the most stressful. Have you forgotten the latest updates in your favorite sports? There's a television (or the Internet) for you.

3. Go places. You're not doing yourself a favor by keeping yourself cooped during spring. This is that time to go far, be it a few blocks or a few thousand miles from home. If you have no travel plans, then check our for any happenings in your place. There can be a new movie that can't be missed, even a play that you might want to check out. If you're a photography enthusiast, spring can give you lots of options, providing you can spend hours on it. If you're from the continent, London is the Big Apple of Great Britain, many things to see and do. How about a short trip? Paris is a great option for those who can't get enough of the arts. Then there's Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne. You get the picture.

4. Indulge in anything you love. Unless you're in your final year in the university, then it's high time to do something else. Reading is a good option, as long as the book isn't part of the reading list. Get in touch with friends and talk about it, as such things are fun - and memorable - with company.

5. Do nothing. We've been taught that indolence isn't a good thing, but there are cases that can be an exception. This is one of those. No need to be guilty about it, as you need to rest. For some of us, we practically don't have a social life because of that importance to earn our BA. Unless you're good in time management, with something to do (with friends) on a Saturday night.
